These terms apply to your use of the Basalt Ridge Auctions website run by Basalt Ridge Towing & Recovery, LLC ("we", "us") and to any car you bid on or buy through it. By creating an account or placing a bid, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and FAQ.

1. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You must confirm your email address before you can bid.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password private.

2. Bidding

• Every bid is a binding offer to buy the car at that price. Bids cannot be withdrawn once placed.
• Each car has a minimum bid and a bid increment. A bid must meet the minimum, or the current high bid plus the increment.
• The highest bid when the auction closes wins. If a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes, the auction is extended to 5 minutes after that bid, so it can run past its posted end time.
• You may not bid from more than one account, work with others to manipulate a price, or use automated tools to bid.
• We may cancel, change or relist any auction, and reject or cancel any bid, including where there is an error, a suspected fraud, or the car is no longer available. If an auction is relisted, its earlier bids are cleared.

3. Winning and paying

• If you win, we'll tell you by email and on your account page.
• Payment and pickup are due by 5:00 PM on the next business day after the auction closes. You can pay by cash, check or credit card at our office.
• If you can't pay in time, contact us before the deadline to make arrangements. We decide whether to agree to a later date.
• If you don't pay, or don't make arrangements, within the time allowed, we may ban you from bidding, cancel the sale, and relist the car. Winning a car does not oblige us to hold it for you beyond the payment deadline.

4. The cars are sold as-is

• Cars are sold "as-is, where-is", with no warranty of any kind, whether about condition, mechanical soundness, history or fitness for a particular use.
• We describe each car as accurately as we can (including transfer type, keys, whether it runs, mileage, photos and part of the VIN), but we don't guarantee that any description is complete or error-free. "Unknown" means we don't know.
• You are responsible for deciding whether a car is right for you before you bid. If you wish to inspect a vehicle before bidding, you may do so by visiting our office Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you have questions about a car, call us before bidding.

5. Using the site

Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload or get around it, no false information, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or block an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is misusing the site.

6. Our responsibility

We provide the site as it is and don't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything connected with a car or the site is limited to the amount you paid us for that car. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that can't be limited.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed, and a change won't affect a car you've already won. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
